landscaping business startup?

How can I set up my own business landscaping? There are some landscape architects in the region, which relate mainly to private customers. However, I stand more to communication and the major projects. What do I begin? Do I need special training? I have a fairly good thing, the background, and some commercial "Contacts". All help is welcome. Thank you. I live in Illinois, and I would like to offer, maintenance, plants, seeding, sodding, straw, and perhaps to maintain the wall installation.
