From Shop to Till to Online Market - Cash is King

As a business person , Im always looking for better ways to claw back the bottom line and increase my margin. On advice I decided recently to take the plunge and setup business online. Providing consulting services for the past 15 years , I had declined to take it that little step further and offer the services our company provides to the online world and to the greater volume & increased market. There were a number of requirements , one of which was the most important , to process the payment of fees online. We anted something we could integrate with our Retail Training systems and came across a company called Prodigy Payment Systems who provide all the systems from Retail , to Online and Credit Card purchasing.We could have gone various other routs for processing payments but at the end of the day didnt want to risk our brand by taking the customer to a 3rd party site for payment when we could use a payment system and build it all in together. Of course security was foremost in my mind when I wanted to put all of this together and when we deicded to bring in Wireless units to our retail centre , we thought we would have to go to a variety of vendors to ties this all in. Prodigy cover from the shop floor to the till , to the online retail merchant and more. When I learned that I could also accpet checks and get these covered by Prodigy Electronic scanning system to approve the check and essentially pay you faster and with more reliability then you would have with normal systems. Wanting a hotel sooner rather than later!

Mom renovating and not asking for help..

I reckon with my mom making some renovations that she will think that with work holding things up at the house that she wont have time for thanks giving because she wont be finished! I beg to differ and have asked her on numerous occasions to ask if we can help out and even host the dinner at our home. Ok we’re a few miles away but family have to travel anyway!!

Getting the wind in your hair with a harley

My brother wants me to go off and look at used Harleys because he hasnt the money to get a new one which Ive tried to put him off doing because he’s 45 and doesnt think that he’s too old for a Harely , but then again are you ever to old to sit up on one and ride it across town with the wind in your hair! I certianly dont think so , so im actually looking forward tohelping him buy it now actually!
