Keeping it in line with the law.
March 28, 2008
A friend in California has the misfortune of having to file for Bankruptcy. I don’t think it was actually anything he had done himself over the years , his business as a fire consultant had never gone the right direction and he was at a loss from a Business perspective.
By the time I got involved to try and rescue his business it was too late , he should have had me on board years ago. In any case I helped him find a Bankruptcy lawyer who was well versed on all of the various ( and there are lots ) of bankruptcy laws. I don’t profess to be an expert in this field so we got him talking to the guys over at Timothy G Mc Farlin , a serious bunch of professional lawyers who were pro from the off.
Even looking at their site , we printed off lots of information that helped when we went to meet them in LA and didn’t look like totally amateurs. It helps when you can relax with a good website and take in all the information.
He is over the worst of it now and all is being handled by the afore mentioned Lawyers who I would highly recommend!

According to NYTIMES , Obama wants regulation on Mortgage lenders in the US , and im just wondering if this is something that Mr Bush should be calling for. The fact that Obama has come out strong on his campaign tour about this might put Bush off the scent of actually doing something about it , but I have my doubts
Have a look at what NY times has to say http://www.nytimes.com/2008/03/27/us/politics/27cnd-dems.html?_r=1&ref=business&oref=slogin

March 27, 2008
According to NYTIMES , confidence in Germany and Europe in General seems to be on the up , whereas Financial Markets in the US are on a downward spiral.
From the Article :
“We were surprised because there has been all this talk about the financial crisis and how it would affect Germany,” said Klaus Abberger, a senior economist at the Ifo Institute in Munich. “We had a surge in the euro, and yet the firms assessed their export situation as being very good.”

I thought I had the best web hosting until a few weeks ago I read the Kaushal Sheth blog and discovered that Ive been getting ripped off by my old hosting big time and even littler did I know that it was so slow compared to other websites that people who would visit would probably just leave again. I dont have much cash flow to spend on the hosting but at the same time need something to keep my business afloat and so I decided to do some searching and arrived at Kaushal’s recommendations. The reason I trust them is that Ive come across his blog before and would class him as an authority figure on this kind of thing! So even if you dont have a clue and you figure your webhosting isnt good then take a look over at the blog that Kaushal is running and see what information you can pick up for yourself today!

Having not been a fan of banks as a child , the thought of walking into one now makes me laugh first then cry! They try and get at you using any number of tactics and defintiely one of the tactics is to baffle you and then rope you in! Happened to a friend of mine ( and this isnt one of those stories where the friend is actually me!) a few years ago when he was looking for cd rates all over town. It was before the advent of massive information on the web and he was lucky to escape with only a bad rate and not anything worse!
Since Ive heard he’s scored the web but even better again is eMoney Central who will actually collate all of the information in one place and present it to you! Especially if you are a business person who litterally doesnt have the time to be walking into every bank around the town!

March 5, 2008
Something Ive never considered but am actually looking at is life insurance for kids because I reckon that one of the days one of my kids is going to fall off that tree and break more than a lef :0) Only Kidding.. But its important for the little ones to be taken care of at all levels and I reckon that the better we look after them , the more they ll look after us in later life , especially when its time to hit the high road for the nursing home and when they realise we looked after them all those many years previous , I cant see them having a problem with placing us in the nicest home available and not somewhere where we can really hate.
So I suppose back to falling off trees! We all did it and I sincerly believe that the child who climbs that tree will climb the ladder in later life as theyve explored all there is to explore in child hood that they can explore in the business world too. I was a child that climbed everywhere , up trees , across rivers and anywhere my legs would carry me , so why not have insurance for me , my parents might not have but I could have got stuck in that tree.. river , ravine… ![]()
